The touring band
Saturday’s Heroes formed in 2008 in the small industrial town called Finspång in the eastern parts of Sweden. Ever since the beginning, DIY has been a big part of the band and they have released content, merchandise and successfully toured their own music on their own terms.
During later years the ambition grew larger and they signed to Lövely Records. Each year they have been on at least two multiple week tours that ususally result in packed clubs with punk rock euphoria.
They have played together with bands such as Millencolin, The Baboon Show, Bombshell Rocks, Asta Kask, The Dahmers and many many more.
Saturday’s Heroes is one of those bands that will bring down the house no matter what type of show it is. They have played festivals in front of thousands, packed clubs in eastern europe and opening for some of the punk rock heroes.
Current status (2024 and forward)
We released our album Wanderlust & Hardships at the end of 2023, since then we have been playing a lot of shows and festivals in Sweden. We signed with Hellbilly Tourbookings for shows in Sweden, right now we are looking for a booking partner in the rest of Europe.
Just released our new studio album with Niels Nielsen (Ghost, In Flames, Dead Soul) which has received great reviews in numerous magazines over the world (10/10 Oxfanzine, 4.5/5 ThePunkSite etc)
Played a number of shows in Sweden during the break of restrictions in the summer of 2021, played two DIY tours in Germany and Czech Replublic in 2022, lot’s of shows in Sweden during 2023 and 2024.
